Job Description
Working for a new fast-growing UK company expanding their development house to Bangalore, you will be a strong mobile developer and will be responsible for coordinating mobile development work, principally on iPhone and Android – preferably both. You will be in charge of the company’s Indian office, will be hands-on, and will be starting with a team of six developers, and there will be opportunities to visit the UK and possibly the USA.
Requirements
- Excellent client-side development experience on either iPhone or Android platforms, preferably both.
Good written and verbal communication skills, and knowledge of Agile/SCRUM development methods. An ability to optimally divide up client-side work programmes amongst multiple developers for the same app.
Responsibilities:
- Manage development tasks in accordance with UK requirements, dividing up and allocating workload and managing progress on a day-to-day basis.
- Report regularly to UK management with project progress.
- Degree educated.
Required Experience, (either one or the other, or both):
Either native iPhone development skills:
- Experience in developing applications in iOS;
- Strong skills in Objective-C, OOP, C++, Cocoa, and experience with Asynchronous Programming techniques;
- Understand iPhone application architecture and UI;
- Knowledge of parallel/concurrent programming a strong plus (Multithreading, concurrency, etc.)
- Client Server communication (eg. XML, JSON, HTTP, SOAP, Rest);
- Core Graphics, core animation, Core Video, SQlite programming;
- Experience with unit testing;
Or, native Android development skills:
- Android app development;
- Experience in Core Java, DB, XML technologies, and multi-threaded client architecture;
- Android User Interface implementation, and custom controls.
- Experience with transition animations
