Day 01: Arrival in Joshimath (290 km drive). Stay in Himalayan Abode Homestay
Day 02: Joshimath to Govindghat (22 kms drive). Govindghat to Ghanghria (14 kms trek). Stay in Luxury Camp/Deluxe hotel or similar
Day 03: Valley of Flowers (5 km trek one way). Stay in Ghangharia
Day 04: Hemkund Sahib (6 km trek one way). Stay in Ghangharia.
Day 05: Ghanghria to Govindghat (14 kms trek). Govindghat to Joshimath (22 kms drive). Stay in Himalayan Abode or similar in Joshimath.
Day 06: Check-out and departure for home
Tour Itinerary
Day 01- Arrival in Joshimath (Relax)
Reach Joshimath in your own vehicle and evening free to relax and acclimatize. Dinner and overnight stay at Joshimath.
Joshimath is a small town in the Uttarakhand Garhwal hills on the banks of Alaknanda River. This place is very famous for Sankracharya temple and is also the hub for many mountaineering and trekking expedition in Garhwal Himalayas.
Day 02-Joshimath to Govindghat (drive) to Ghangharia (trek)

Post early breakfast, meet your guide. Post briefing, drive from Joshimath to Govindghat (a small hamlet situated on the confluence of Alaknanda and roaring Laxman Ganga and start point for the fully escorted trek).
Govindghat to Ghanghria (base village for Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib) is a beautiful trek route with magnificent views and river accompanying you throughout. Hot lunch on the trek route. In the late afternoon, arrive at Ghanghria on the banks of Laxman Ganga. Dinner and overnight stay in Ghangria at Hotel Himsarovar, Luxury Premium Camps or similar.

Day 03-Ghangharia - Valley of Flowers - Ghangharia

Post breakfast, start our fully escorted trek to Valley of Flowers. The first part of the trek is through thick forest along the Pushpavati river. Later we trek in the open meadows. Arrive and explore the area. Witness several varieties of rare flowers including Blue Poppy, Potentilla, Geranium and hundreds of others. Full day to explore Valley of Flowers UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Packed lunch, flasks full of hot beverages as well as assorted refreshments will be arranged. Return to Ghangharia in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 04-Ghangharia - Hemkund Sahib - Ghangharia

Post breakfast today we start our fully escorted trek to Hemkund - internationally acclaimed, one of the finest high latitude lakes in Uttarakhand Himalayas. It is also a place of worship for Sikhs and Hindus. Its an uphill trek to reach Hemkund.
See the crystal clear lake with astonishing views of surrounding peaks, visit Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara and Lakshman Temple on the banks of the lake. Return to Ghangharia in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 05-Ghangharia - Govindghat - Joshimath (Drive)

Post breakfast, we start our trek back from Ghangharia to Govindghat and then drive to Joshimath. Hot lunch on the trek route. Dinner and overnight stay in Joshimath.
Note: if time permits, stroll in the small but busy Joshimath local market area, visit famous Shankaracharya Math (shrine), Kalpavriksha and Narsimha temple.
Day 06-Departure from Joshimath
Post early breakfast, start your journey back to city life in your own vehicle with fond memories. Our trek services will end at Joshimath.

All land transfers in shared private vehicle from Joshimath to Govindghat and back to Joshimath only.

Charges for helicopter ride between Govindghat to Ghangharia and back
Hire charges for mules / porters / equipment if hired by trekkers for personal ride or extra personal luggage
Charges for hot water at Ghangharia (Rs 50 per bucket). Hot water geysers are available in Joshimath
Entry tickets to Valley of Flowers for foreign nationals
