HSK (Level 1) 40 hours
Can understand and use familiar Chinese everyday expressions and very basic phrases
aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and
others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she
lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way
provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help. During the 30
hour course, students will learn 200 Mandarin words, 30 key grammar points and to read and write20 characters. At the end of the course, students will be able to follow the general meaning of aconversation on familiar subjects, handle common social and routine work situations,refashion andcombine learnt material to meet their immediate communicative and learning needs.
