Dr Purvi Thakkar Bhalotia MMBS DNB Gen Surgery MCh Surg O

Dr Purvi Thakkar is a consultant breast oncoplastic surgeon at Tata Memorial Centre. She earned her bachelors in medicine and surgery (MBBS) and further went on to do post-graduation in surgery (DNB) from some of the esteemed institutes in Mumbai.She joined TMC in 2010 as an observer, went on to become a
trainee and earned her M.Ch in surgical oncology in 2015. She further did a masters in translational cancer research from King s College, London in 2016 where her work involved experiments with exosomes isolated from lung and breast cancer cell lines. She joined TMC as faculty in 2017. Currently her research work includes role of Resveratrol molecule and cannabis in breast cancer,dynamics of interstitial fluid pressure in tumor versus normal tissue among other clinical projects
