Electrical System Design Outlines
The design of Electrical Systems deals with the study and application Electrical Power System, Electrical Machines, Control systems & Automation, Instrumentation, Microprocessors, Power Electronics, Digital Signal Processing and telecommunications.

Course Syllabus
o Overview of industry and their requirement of electrical systems.
o Role, Importance, Responsibility of Electrical Engineer in Industry.
o Knowing Client requirements & collection of specific data for projects.
o Understanding various phases of projects.
o Use of International Standards, Design Basis, std. practices/procedure and specifications
o Understanding Basic Design requirement based on the type of various plants.
o Intra-discipline co-ordination with civil, process, mechanical, piping, telecom HVAC etc…
o Cable Selection and Sizing and cable laying methods.
o Selection and sizing of electrical equipments used in various projects.
o Preparation of equipments specifications.
o High Voltage system requirements including substation design.
o Specialized Engineering like Heat Tracing systems and cathodic protection design.
o Design of Earthlings system, Lightning system and lightning protection system.
o Design of power distribution system.
o Equipment vendor drawing review and approval.
o Procurement Requirements and installation standards.
o Inspection of Equipments/system.
o Interview Preparation and MOC Interviews
