Objectives
The primary objective is to create a Complete Software Professional with actual
working experience in writing code for enterprise grade heavy duty transaction based
applications using Java technologies and middleware platforms, handling large Oracle &
SQL Server databases, using a judicious mix of different avant-garde technologies like
SOA/BPM and mobile frameworks to deliver tomorrow’s solutions today. The program
focuses on evolving professionals who will immediately command a premium in the
industry and fast track their careers.

creating multiple versions of enterprise grade software products built on cutting edge
technologies like JSF, Struts 2.x, Ajax, HTML5, Spring, SOA(Service oriented
architecture), BPM ( Business Process Modeling), Business Rules management, large
Oracle & SQL Server databases.
Our software products use a judicious mix of emerging technologies. Our projects are
enterprise grade and involve complex functionality and large databases. The
development environment is conducive to researching, learning and applying new skills.

We take a few trainees every year and equip them with the technical knowhow, handson
experience and functional expertise that would normally take them several years to
acquire.
1. Enterprise Development methodology: We expose novice Java developers to
real world enterprise grade development principles and technologies. We first
equip them with knowhow and quickly move them into the fray along with
experienced developers and then guide them as they learn the ropes on the job.
We have our own enterprise grade software products – so cutting edge
development and performance tuning is a way of life with us.
2. Writing Online Transactions: We teach trainee developers to write heavy duty
online transactions using new technologies like SOA, BPM, middle-ware. We are
Open Text Cordys, IBM and Mowbly (OS agnostic mobile platform) partners and
so we have access to a large range of technologies.
3. Database experience: Our trainees are taught to write complex Oracle & SQL
Server queries, stored procedures, triggers and packages in large database
environments so that they get an end to end exposure to the enterprise software
development environment – UI-Middle ware–Database.
4. Integration is big globally – getting applications like SAP /NaVision/ Sales Force
and others to talk to each other and building applications on top of these
products. We teach new generation integration methodology using web services,
SOA/BPM and the ESB (Enterprise Service Bus).
5. Mobile enabling: Most applications today are incomplete without a mobile
interface. We teach our trainees application development on mobile frameworks
with OS agnostic deployment on Android, Apple IOS, Microsoft and Blackberry
phones and mobile devices.
6. Functional / Domain knowledge: We have several years of experience in
various functional domains. We transfer functional knowledge in domains like
Sales and Distribution, Material Resource Planning, Finance and Production to
our trainees.
The six month training program is on live projects and includes the following:
1. Java EE 6 & 7 - JSF, JSP, Spring, Struts, JQuery, Ajax, Hibernate –
technology updates and hard core development exposure on large
applications.
2. Oracle 11G - SQL, triggers, stored procedures, JDBC, JNDI etc. Our SD
product Medico Online is a heavy transaction application that integrates with
SAP and other ERP systems.

3. SOA / BPM is the latest buzzword for Web 2.0 applications. Excel has built one
of the first large enterprise grade products on SOA/BPM using the Open Text
Cordys framework. Our trainees are taught to write transactions using the
SOA/BPM framework, web service based integration using the ESB and live
integration with enterprise products like SAP, Navision depending on the
current project being handled by the team.
4. Functional exposure in domains like Sales & distribution, Finance, Sales
force automation, CRM, SCM.
5. BI & Analytics: Dashboards, interactive graphs and charts, SMS and email
alerts, analytics and the database activity that enables them.
The idea is to arm the trainee with an in depth knowledge of cutting edge technologies
that are currently in vogue globally. There is very little class room training involved - we
treat them like the professionals we want them to become, guide and help them write
superior, tight code using the latest technologies.
At the end of the training period, the trainee is assigned to a team for 3-6 months until
they are placed so that their total hand-on development experience is 1 year+.
We have tie-ups with leading software companies who are clients of our human
resources company.
Further, we are Open Text Cordys, IBM and JDA partners – so we have immediate
access to niche requirements on plum projects for people trained by us.
By the time the trainee attends interviews set up for him, he is equipped with the
following:
1. A well rounded experience of Java EE 7, Oracle 10G, SOA/BPM.
2. Experience in writing and debugging code for enterprise grade transactions.
3. Functional expertise in SD, Finance, SCM, CRM.
4. Working experience of 6 months (the duration of the training program
+ current).
5. A great job with a good company to launch a great career.
