Hospice is an idea, a philosophy of care .The idea is that if someone you lovehas an incurable illness and treatment to prolong life and keep the illness under control no longer works.

The services that the Medicare Hospice Benefit covers are:
Doctor services
Basic Medical Care
Medical supplies&equipment as needed
Drugs to control pain and other symptoms
Physical and occupational therapy such
Speech therapy (to help with problems as swallowing)
Social worker services/Volunteerers support such as meal preparation
Dietary counseling
Emotional and spiritual counseling to help the patient and family with grief and loss
Treatment intended to cure your terminal illness and/or related conditions
