NEBOSH IGC in Occupational Health & Safety:
INTRODUCTION:
NEBOSH International General Certificate is a globally recognized health and safety qualification intended for companies or individuals working on international standards with regards to Health, Safety & Environment. This NEBOSH IGC course focuses on the International Labor Standards (ILO) codes of practice.

COURSE CONTENTS:
The Course is based on international standards and best practice. It is made up of three units that must be successfully completed within five years to achieve the NEB0SH International General Certificate qualification:
Unit IGC1: Management of International Health and Safety
Foundations in Health and Safety
Health and Safety Management Systems Plan
Health and Safety Management Systems Do
Health and Safety Management Systems Check
Health and Safety Management Systems Act
Assessed by a two hour written exam
Unit GC2: Control of International Workplace Hazards
Workplace Hazards and Risk Control
Transport Hazards and Risk Control
Musculoskeletal Hazards and Risk Control
Work Equipment Hazards and Risk Control
Electrical Safety
Fire Safety
Chemical and Biological Health Hazards and Risk Control
Physical and Psychological Health Hazards and Risk Control
Assessed by a two hour written exam
Unit GC3: Health and Safety Practical Application
Assessed by a two hour work based practical assessment
ASSESSMENT:
This qualification is comprised of 3 units, each of which is assessed separately. IGC1 and GC2 are assessed by 02 hours written examination consisting of ten short answer questions and one long answer question for each Unit. All questions are compulsory and external examiners appointed by NEBOSH marks the scripts of the candidates.
