Watercolour is perhaps the most popular painting medium, with its unique delicacy and transparency capable of conjuring up the most fleeting and evanescent effects of nature.
The secret of water colour is to work boldly and with confidence. Once you learn to relax and let go of the reins, you will be delighted to find that very often the paint does much of its work for you; sometimes the most interesting and beautiful effects are achieved through a combination of accidents and design.
The two days watercolour workshop will cover the basic techniques required to create a simple water colour painting on handmade paper and other acid free imported papers.
The participants will be able to create two different original water colour paintings following a step by step procedure, using wet on wet or wet on dry technique. They will also learn the use of different brushes like round brush, flat brush, rigger brush, angular brush etc.
The paintings created by the participants can be taken home once the workshop is over. The participants will be guided regarding the follow up procedure after the workshop so that they can continue painting on their own even in future.
