The Sri Devaraj URS Medical College (SDUMC), Kolar is a constituent of Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research (SDUAHER), a Deemed to be University, approved by UGC. The college comes under the aegis of Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust for Backward Classes, Kolar, is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The college and the University are located at Tamaka village, Kolar and spread over almost 100 acres of lush green campus. Sri Devaraj URS Medical College Admission Process
The Sri Devaraj URS Medical College (SDUMC), Kolar offers MBBS, MD/MS, PG Diploma and PhD programmes. To get an admission to MBBS, candidates need to appear for the NEET UG and appear for the state counselling. For PG, candidates need to appear for NEET PG. the detailed admission process of the courses is given below:

The admission process of Sri Devaraj URS Medical College for MBBS:

Medical aspirants have to appear for NEET UG Entrance Examination and obtain a valid score.
They have to apply for centralised counselling conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
DGHS will do the counselling for 15% All India Quota seats based on NEET UG Score and list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed in DGHS website.
For the state-level counselling, candidates need to register with the state counselling authority body as the 85% seats will be allotted by the state counselling body.
The counselling authorities will allot the seat on the basis of NEET score, preferences of colleges and courses.
Candidates who choose to accept the allotted college have to report to the institute for document verification and completion of other admission processes.

The admission process of Sri Devaraj URS Medical College for MD and MS:
Candidates have to appear for NEET PG Entrance Examination and obtain a valid score.

Sri Devaraj URS Medical College Facilities

Hostel: there are separate Men s and Women s hostels, divided into Under Graduate Hostel, AHS Hostel, Post Graduate Hostel, and the Resident Hostel. The hostel facilities include RO-UV Plant for drinking & cooking purposes, Reading rooms, and Recreation hall with TV facility, Gym, Newspaper facility, Wi-Fi facility, and a Visitors lounge.

Library: The library is spread over 3642 sq. mtrs and can accommodate 700 users at a time. It has state-of-the-art infrastructure as well as Wi-Fi facilities to browse and access the resources. It has a total of 11910989 textbooks, 17398006 reference books, 59547528 journals, and 14790763 e-journals.

Sports and Fitness Centre: The College has established a Volleyball court, a Basketball court, Two Tennis courts & a Throw ball court with permanent floodlights in addition to the outdoor arena viz. Football/Athletic ground. It also has an indoor sports complex with a Badminton Court, Two Table Tennis Tables, and Multi Gym facilities.
Other facilities include ATM and Bank, Food Court, Information Technology Centre, Student Counselling Services, and a proximate Campus Store.

Sri Devaraj URS Medical College Scholarships
The institute itself offers the Scholarship for GM students and the Sri Devaraj Urs Scholarships for OBC students. The total amount of the scholarship is INR 28,00,000. It was availed by 112 students in 2018-19. Students can also apply for scholarships and financial assistance from the Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation. A total amount of INR 16,00,430 was given in 2018-19 to 113 students.
