ALL ABOUT RV COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING ( RVCE) :
R.V. College of Engineering is a landmark institution in Bangalore. Established in the year 1963, the college is amongst the best engineering institutions in the country. RVCE as it is popularly known, is one of a handful institutions in India that have collaborations with top universities across the world. Post graduate and research programs in R. V. College of Engineering have counterparts in universities located in Australia, France, Germany and United States of America.
Although the college has connections with universities across the world, principles that are essentially Indian guide the college. Value based education and Gandhian principles form the basis of the mode of education employed in the college. The college is not aided by the government and is a self-financing institution.
The college campus, located 13 kilometers outside the heart of Bangalore, on Mysore road is set in a lush 52 acres. The nearly unlimited area of land allows the management to utilize the area for events and meets to further the education offered in the college.
The research facility located in the college has executed research projects for many institutions like DRDO, HAL, CABs, ISRO, Naval research and AICTE. The R. V. College of Engineering is managed by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust. The trust was founded by Sri. M. C. Shivananda Sharma, a pioneer in the field of education in pre-independent India.
