Electronics Engineering is a 4 year special degree course that combines two disciplines that have significant synergies. Engineering in Electronics is designed to develop the core engineering skills of students so that they would fulfill the requisite professional requirements of their chosen engineering fields. At the same time, the electronics engineering will equip a student with the necessary business skills and knowledge in the areas of organizational behavior, finance and accounting, marketing, economics, and business law, among others, in order to be successful in the business world.
Key Features of Electronics Engineering:
Developed in liaison with Staffordshire University, engineering in electronics is designed to prepare students for careers as professional electrical engineers, with the focus on innovation, analysis and development within a wide range of industries from both the user's and producer's perspective.
Engineering in electronics provides a broad education in electrical and electronic engineering in the first two years, sharing a similar structure to the B. E. (Hons.) Electronics Engineering degree, but with specialist courses in power electronics in the second year. In the final year, students study core courses in the areas of power engineering and power electronics and produce a major individual project of engineering in electronics.
Engineering in electronics is a field of engineering that deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. The field first became an identifiable occupation in the late nineteenth century after commercialization of the electric telegraph and electrical power supply. It now covers a range of subtopics including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing and telecommunications.
Career:
This degree of Electronics Engineering can open many doors for graduates who have the ability to work competently in electronics and use the tools of electronic engineering. Electronic Engineering links into a multitude of industries, each with their own disciplines and requirements. Career paths for bachelor of Engineering in Electronics include electronic product design, radio frequency design and mobile communications, signal processing, control and power electronics, electronic control systems, consumer electronics, telecommunications, military and aeronautical electronics, production management, and education.
