Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi Admission 2023-22
Admission to IP University will be done on the basis of the official IPU Website.
Registration for IP University admission will start in the month of March from 3rd March 2023.
B. Tech and B.Pharm admissions are on the basis of the JEE Main score followed by online University.
For B. Arch admission will be based on NATA 2023.
Admission of MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS is on the basis of NEET-UG.
BA, BA LLB admission will be done on the basis of CLAT.
The university conducts its own examination IPUCET for B.Sc. (Nursing) & B.Sc. (MLT),BA, B.Com, BCA,B.Voc,B.Ed, and BJMC courses.
For admission to M.Tech students will be done through GATE.
Admission to M.Sc, M.Sc Nursing, MOT, MA, and MPH will be done on the basis of IPU CET 2023.
For the PGAC (Ayurveda) course, a valid score of AIA PGET conducted by AYUSH is required.
For Ph.D. programs, the candidates are required to be shortlisted on the basis of CSIR NET/UGC NET or JRF.
Diploma in Architecture candidates is not eligible for B.Tech (LE).
85% of seats in B.Tech and B.Arch programs are reserved for those candidates who are passed out schools /institutes are located in the NCT region of Delhi.
15% of seats are reserved for students from outside Delhi.
In the case of self-financing, college /institutes (under IP University) will be sanctioned 10% of seats under the management quota.
IPU CET 2023 Exam Dates 2023-22
Admission will be done on the basis of IPU CET 2023-22 counseling. The final admission will be based on the score of IPU CET 2023-22. There will be online counseling for B.Tech, BBA, BCA, MBA, MCA, LLB, B.Ed (Except B.Ed Spl.Edu), BJMC & B.Com courses. For the rest of the courses, there will be offline counseling.

The placement of GGSIPU is done through the University's placement cell. The cell of the university is responsible for creating many job opportunities for the students in different fields. The university has tie-ups with many companies and invites them to conduct their round of interviews on the campus or off-campus. It further organizes various events like mock interviews, aptitude tests, internships, and many other things that help in getting the best job. The average package of the institute lies between INR 5 lakh to INR 10 Lakh P/A.
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is the first University established in 1998 by Govt. of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998 read with its Amendment in 1999 The University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), India under section 12B of UGC Act.
It is a teaching and affiliating University with the explicit objective of facilitating and promoting studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with focus on professional education, for example engineering, technology, management studies, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, education, law, etc. and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields and other matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

In 2023, the University was ranked 79th among the Universities of the country in the National International Ranking Framework (NIRF). The University's School of Management Studies was ranked 51st by NIRF among management institutions, the University School of Law & Legal Studies was ranked 12th among law institutions while the Engineering Schools of the University were ranked 108 among engineering institutions by NIRF.
On the affiliation front, in addition to 13 school of studies offering programmes of study on the campus, one school namely School of Medicine and Para Medical Health Sciences is being maintained for providing leadership role to the programmes conducted under the School, at the affiliated institutions. In all, the University has 111 affiliated institutes; of these, 87 are self financed and 24 are owned and managed by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi/Govt. of India. In these affiliated institutions, 176 academic programmes are being conducted with an intake of 28,000+ students with a total University strength of 93,000+.

With the commencement of the academic session 2015-16, the University has put a check on its quantitative growth; the cases of additional intake in existing programme/s and grant of affiliation to new institutions are examined quite stringently. Even so, it is open to start new academic programmes in case it is likely to augment the supply of trained manpower for the so far neglected socio-economic sector(s)/segments of population.
RULES & REGULATIONS
University administration functions while dealing with various issues of administrative and academic significance, within the provisions of the University Act, rules and regulations (Statutes & Ordinances) framed thereunder. The University has notified 33 Statutes and 30 Ordinances which have not only been published in the Gazette of Delhi but have also been laid on the floor of the Legislative Assembly of Delhi. The University Act and all its Statutes as well as Ordinances have been placed on the University Website. This clearly speaks of the nature of transparency maintained by the University Administration in its functioning keeping the society at large informed not only about the academic programmes but also about all its latest rules, regulations etc.
