College Managing Committee on July 26, 1948 in the sacred memory of Mahatma Hansraj, a pioneer in the field of education. It is today one of the leading lights in the D.A.V. family of over 700 institutions and one of the largest constituent Colleges of Delhi University.
Hansraj College undergoes the standard admissions process of Delhi University. In order to apply to this college for an undergraduate course, the student has to fill out a central form that is released by the university itself. After a few weeks of the deadline of the forms, Delhi University publicly releases cut off lists for each individual course for all of the undergraduate courses across the university. The students who come to this college are among the top achievers at the school and add further achievements to their credit. Our examination results are among the best in the university.

The eligibility criteria for a bachelor's degree at Hans Raj College is pretty straightforward and like every other college in India.
Candidates must have passed 10+2.
A candidate must clear the minimum cut-off for their desired programs.
There is no age limit for the UG programs.
The eligibility criteria may vary according to the category of the candidate.
There are no entrance exams for courses at Hans Raj college; they are based on the 10+2 aggregate, i.e., the best of four subjects. The typical cut-off for English is about 95% for General and a 5-6% relaxation for the SC, STs, and OBCs. It has to be kept in mind that the best of four must include English and three other subjects from Economics, History, Geography, Mathematics, Philosophy, Sociology, Political Science and Psychology. Including any other subjects will lead to a reduction in the aggregate marks by 1%.

Candidate must have passed class 12 with percentage greater than 95% for general category and above 90% for reserved category for popular courses like Eco honour, BSC computer science, electronics, physics, maths Hons. For economics honour in 2023 - 97% for general, 95-96% for EWS, 94% for OBC, 91-92% for sc , 89-90% for st category this trend may be continue or increase in future .
