To nurture research activities in the management arena, Bocconi has taken couple of initiatives namely Center of Excellence and Bocconi Knowledge.
Center of Excellence: The institute has conceptualized Center for Excellence with an objective to create a global knowledge platform and an environment, which is rich in knowledge through research.. Through the creation of this platform, the institute envisions to foster a partnership with the corporate community, which will enable it to enrich its programs and drive value across the industry and student community. The first two centers to be conceptualized were the Centre of Excellence for Insurance and the IBM Luxury & Retail Academy. The institute has plans to set up several such Centers of Excellence, which includes Insurance Retail and Strategic Marketing, Family Business Leadership and Change Management, Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Bocconi Knowledge: This multimedia online portal gathers extensive researches, most recent papers, articles and seminars coming from the effort and expertise of the Bocconi community. Pure and applied research takes place in each of the large disciplinary areas of the University, through its Departments, Research Centers and the SDA Bocconi School of Management. It aims to provide rigor and technical content to management activities in businesses and organizations.
Programs Offered
Post Graduate Program in Business (PGPB): The program is designed to build responsible, reliable and effective managers and entrepreneurs. It offers participants the opportunity to start a successful career or to enhance their work experience by nurturing personal growth and fostering professional development. The program delivered by international faculty will cover all the business management fundamentals. It is also offering a significant international exposure by Campus Abroad program and the Exchange Semester in Bocconi, Milano.
Executive Education: MISB offers executive education programs to organizations that want to make an immediate impact on the practice of management and to succeed in a highly competitive and dynamic environment. This Custom Programs Division works with companies on a one-to-one basis to create high-impact learning experiences that are tailored to the needs of each firm. The program is offered at Mumbai Campus, which has the modern classrooms equipped with latest multimedia stations and with areas for group work.

The campus located in the prominent area of Hiranandani Gardens, Powai (Mumbai) has more than six active clubs running under the collaborative efforts of students and faculties. The institute offers access to Hiranandani Sport Clubs, where students can relax with a great variety of sports- individual as well as collective ones. Under the supervision of sports club, the institute has, in the past, conducted Sport weekend, opened to corporate and colleges based in Mumbai. The event became a huge success and saw the participation of more than 150 people with the most diverse interests and background.
The International Master in Business (IMB) is a specialized master program fully equivalent to a postgraduate program that brings to India the expertise and the international standing of SDA Bocconi School of Management, Italy. The program is built with a combination of solid theory, case-study methodology, international experiences and corporate exposure. It is specifically designed to create responsible, reliable, and effective business leaders.
It comprises of two 11-month modules, which includes a 4-month specialization semester spent at the Bocconi main campus in Milan, Italy in the second module. It is an intense experience that maximises learning opportunities in a limited scope of time.
