Vector Control Research Centre (VCRC) (Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)) Puducherry invites applications from from Indian nationals for direct recruitment of Scientist-B in Medical and Non-Medical. The closing date for submission of applications is 10th March 2016.

Name of the Post,Reserved for,Essential Qualification

Scientist-B (Medical),(Unreserved),(1) MD in Community Medicine/ Social & Preventive Medicine/ Microbiology/ Pathology.
(2) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in subjects in recognized institute(s).
(3) Two years R&D/ Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification.

Scientist-B (Non-Medical),(Unreserved),(1) 1st Class M.Sc degree in Zoology/ Medical Entomology/ Public Health Entomology from a recognized University. (OR)
(2) 2nd Class M.Sc degree in Zoology/ Medical Entomology/ Public Health Entomology + Ph.D in the relevant subject from a recognized University.

Scientist-B (Non-medical).(Reserved for OBC) (Anticipated vacancy) .(1) 1st Class Master's degree in Microbiology from a recognized University. (OR) (2) 2nd Class Master's degree in Microbiology + Ph.D in the relevant subject from a recognized University.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years. Age relaxation to Govt. servant Candidates and OBC candidates (only for the post reserved of OBC) in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training from time to time in this regard.

Pay Scale: PB-3 of 15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay of 5400

Selection Process: Written Test. The test will be conducted at Puducherry on a date which will be intimated later.

Application Fee: 500/- for General and OBC candidates and 100/- for SC and ST in the form of crossed demand draft (DD) of nay Bank drawn in favour of Director, Vector Control Research Centre, Puducherry payable at Puducherry. The Candidates belonging to PwD category are exempted from payment of application fee.
