Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) offers UG programs in various Engineering specializations and PG programs in Engineering, Computer Application, and Management. BIT also offers Ph.D. programs through its various departments. Three methods: KCET, COMEDK-UGET, and Management Quota are used to admit students seeking admission to First Year BE programs. M.Tech admissions are based on GATE / Karnataka. Admissions to MCA and MCA programs are based on KMAT / CMAT / MAT/Karnataka PGCET scores. Candidates will have to appear for VTU Eligibility Test to be admitted to the Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) Ph.D. program. Applicants will have to undergo college-level counselling for Admission to BIT Bangalore courses.

Candidates seeking admittance to the first year of the four years B.E. degree course should have passed two years of P.U.C. Examinations conducted by the Pre-University Board of Karnataka State or any other Examination recognized as equivalent by the Visvesvaraya Technology University and should have obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate of optional subjects.

Comed-K: 30% of total seats are reserved in BIT for Comed-k counselling for students from all parts of India.
K-CET: 50% of the total seats in BIT are allocated through K-CET Counselling conducted by KEA only for Karnataka state students.
Comed-k, K-CET exams are held yearly for B.E engineering degree courses admission in private, government, and deemed engineering colleges in Karnataka.
