K-CET is conducted by Karnataka Government via KEA or Karnataka Examination Authority. For KCET the candidate must be the domicile of Karnataka. You can apply if you have a domicile certificate.

Bachelor of Engineering (Lateral Entry)
This is a three-year-long engineering course where you start the course in the second year or the third semester if you have cleared the Qualifying Examination, i.e., any diploma or equivalent examination. You must also secure an aggregate minimum of 45% of marks taken together in all subjects of the final year diploma examination to be eligible for admission to this course.

FOR GENERAL MERIT CANDIDATES: A candidate that has Passed in 2nd PUC / / 12 Std / Equivalent Examination with English among the Language and acquired a minimum of 45 percent of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as optional subjects at the qualifying exam is qualified to pursue undergraduate applications (BE).
The marks obtained by the candidate at Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science / Electronics from the qualifying exam will be considered at the area of Chemistry in the event the marks obtained from Chemistry is not as for the essential aggregate percentage to the chase of determination of qualification.
Entrance Evaluation: KEA / COMED-K.
