Disciplinary Rules of the College

Student seeking admission in the college shall be required to fill up the form in his own Hand Writing and take admission personally.
Student shall undersign the undertaking, which shall be binding on him/her.
Student taking admission in the College shall follow the following rules.
Keep silence in the premises.
Keep silence in the library.
No loitering in the corridor as well as in the premises in the lecture time.
Keep silence in the classroom.
Student shall maintain minimum of 75% attendance.
If any student seeks concession in relation to the Moot Court, Cultural Activity, Medical or any Curricular or Extra-Curricular activity, the same shall be submitted in prescribed form addressing to the Principal.
No activity shall be conducted in the College without the permission of the Principal.
In the case of any debate, Moot Court or any other item of entertainment, the subjects, items, rules and all the other necessary requirements shall be first approved by the Principal.
All the societies formed by the Principal shall be abide to work for the concerned activities and as per the rules made by Principal in that behalf from time to time.

Moot Court Association

D Y Patil Law College has set up the Moot Court Association in 2007 with the objective to provide with well-trained Advocates. Mooting as an activity involves identifying legal issues in situations, exhaustive research in that area of law, followed by extensive written submissions and grueling orals before a bench of eminent judges.

This is a forum which assists the students of our college to enhance their faculties of rational thinking, articulation, presentation of arguments, debating and inculcate in each of the students, the spirit of professionalism, leadership and a strong desire for acquiring legal knowledge and advocacy skills. This Association is under the guidance of Prof S. Kalyanikutty.

The Moot Court Association of the college is instrumental in providing proper platforms for students in debate competitions and sending students to various moot court competitions across the country.
