Admission Procedure for Law

Candidates will get admission into law colleges are through the national level exam, state level exam, university level exam or direct admission. The exams score cards accepted by the colleges are CLAT, LSAT India etc. Some of the universities conduct its own entrance test for admission into law courses in the affiliated colleges & its university. The universities also provide a direct admission facility on the basis of merit.

Eligibility criteria: Candidates must have complete 10+2 or equivalent examination to get admission into integrated law courses. Candidates have to pass a graduation degree for admission into LLB course. The minimum qualifying percentage is 45% for General category & 40% for reserved category. For admission into LLM programme, candidates have to pursue 3 or 5 years LLB degree. There is no age limit for admission into law courses.

Selection Process: Candidates who qualify the Law exam or University level exam, they have to appear in the counselling procedure for seat allotment. The counselling will be conducted through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) in online mode. The seat will be allotted on the basis of the performance in the entrance exam & seat availability. The selection of candidates through direct admission will be based on the merit list & university norms. Candidates have to fill the admission form for direct admission.

LSAT India - Law School Admission Test: Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is a standardized test of reading and verbal reasoning skills conducted four times every year specially designed for LLB and LLM admissions. LSAT scores are accepted by top institutes like Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, IIT Kharagpur Law School, Galgotia University Law School, The Jindal Global Law School, UPES Dehradun, SRM University, Amity Law School and many more.

AIBE (All India Bar Exam): Online Registration / Application form date is on 2nd week of June 2023, Payment through Bank challan starts date 2nd week of June 2023. Online Registration Closing dates & Offline application form sales date is on 1st week of September 2023. Closing of payment through Bank challan of online & offline form will be 2nd week of September 2020. Online application form last date to submit is on 2nd week of September 2023. You will receive your AIBE 14 2023 Admit Card on 2nd week of September 2023. Exams will be conducted on 3rd week of September 2023. Results will be out on 2nd week of November 2023.

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET): AILET 2023 National Law University (NLU), Delhi is conducting All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2023 entrance exam on May 03, 2023. The registration for the exam shall start from the first week of January 2023.

ASymbiosis Entrance Test (SET): Symbiosis SET 2023 Admit card for various entrance test will be released SET/SLAT/SEED/SITEEE in the third week of April 2023. If the candidate have selected both of the session (morning and afternoon) they should carry two different admit cards one is for morning session and second is for afternoon session.

BVP CET Law: Every year, the university intakes 540 students through BVP CET. The application form for BVP CET 2023 will be available online around the second week of February. The last date for the same will be set around the last week of June. Candidates will be required to submit an amount of Rs 1200 as application fee via net banking or credit/debit card. Please ensure to duly fill the application form and submit it before the last date.

BHU-UET: The exam of BHU UET 2023 will be held from the second week of May 2023 in,both, online and offline mode. Candidates will be able to check their results in the second week of June 2023 and counselling will start thereafter for the selected candidates.
