Computer Science Branch
MSRIT provides state-of-the-art computer laboratories equipped with modern software and hardware infrastructure. The labs facilitate hands-on learning and research activities. The department also has specialized labs for specific domains like networking, data science, and software development. The department actively collaborates with industry partners to bridge the gap between academia and industry. These collaborations facilitate internships, industrial visits, expert lectures, workshops, and projects that have real-world applications. Such interactions provide students with practical exposure and industry-relevant skills. The department organizes various technical events, workshops, seminars, and competitions to enhance the overall development of students. Student clubs and chapters, such as coding clubs, robotics clubs, and data science clubs, provide platforms for students to explore their interests, collaborate on projects, and participate in coding competitions and hackathons.

Eligibility

A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 pattern of examination (equivalent to the two year Pre University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at MSRIT.
The eligibility for admission is 45% in case of General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in case of SC/ST, Category-1 and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility (and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/technology courses).
Entrance Exam: KEA / COMEDK

Minimum Cut-off:

MSRIT: Rank must be below five thousand

MSRUAS: Rank must below twenty thousand

Through Management Quota: Direct admission in MSRIT & MSRUAS through Management quota is possible on class 10th and 12th marks.

Donation may vary for both campuses and for all branches of engineering for management seats.
