History
It is a technical education institute in the city of Vadgaon (Budruk), Pune. India. It was established in the year 1996 with 4 UG Programs and a sanctioned intake of 240 students. The institute is affiliated with the University of Pune and managed by the STES. The institute takes its name from the nearby Maratha fort. It has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation and recognized by the AICTE. The institute has also been awarded an A Grade by NAAC.

The institute offers eight undergraduate programmes of four year duration namely Mechanical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer, Chemical, Information Technology, Production, Civil, Bio-Technology. Six departments are offering post-graduate programs.
The department of Mechanical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Chemical and Civil are recognized Ph.D. Research Centre by University of Pune.
The institute also offers a post-graduate program leading to MBA degree. It has a total under-graduate and post-graduate enrollment of 1200 and 338 students respectively. There are 126 students registered for Ph.D. with this research center. All the courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to University of Pune.

Infrastructure
The campus is vast and houses as many as 50 colleges in it. The classrooms are clean and airy, the multistory library wing and labs are well-equipped. They even have Wi-Fi Internet connection throughout the campus! The campus boasts of A Sports Center, Net-cafe, Auditoriums, Seminar Halls, Open Air Theater and much more.
Hostel for Boys and Girls is available on campus.For every year students there are different hostel,so there is no change of ragging. The hostel rooms with individual toilet and bathroom. But sometime there is a problem of wifi and Hot water. First year hostel is above 800m long from the institute. Students are pleased with the hostel infra; they re decent enough to stay at for four years. The food in the mess is good as compare to other colleges in Maharashtra.
