1. Conducting Body: CAT is conducted annually by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) on a rotational basis. Apart from the IIMs, many other top management institutes in India also accept CAT scores for their MBA and PGDM programs.

2. Exam Pattern: The CAT exam is a computer-based test (CBT) that typically takes place in November or December each year. It consists of three sections:
o Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
o Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
o Quantitative Ability (QA)

3. Duration: The duration of the CAT exam is 2 hours. Each section is allotted 40 minutes, and candidates are not allowed to switch between sections during the test.
