Medical Oxygen has a restricted shelf life of 3 years and so must be refilled before it expires. The British Compressed Gases Association asserts that medical gases have a distinct shelf-life period, which is stated in the pertinent marketing authorization. Each medical gas cylinder has a tag that will show the expiration date and the batch number. They counsel that medical gases must not be used beyond their finish date, but must be returned to the Hospital Medical Gas Cylinder Suppliers. Typically a brand-new gas cylinder will stay in service for 7 10 years, contingent on local rules. Then they must be verified as per standards every 5 7 years. They can endure being in service as long as they don't fail the examinations. Hypothetically they can go on for incessantly but typically they last for 15 20 years before erosion and wear make them fail and retire.
