Name of the Post,Scale of Pay

Professor,Pay Band 4 ( 37,400-67,000),with Academic Grade Pay (AGP)of 10,500/-

Associate Professor,Pay Band 4 ( 37,400-67,000),with Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of 9,500/-

Assistant Professor,Pay Band 3 ( 15,600-39,100),with Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of 8,000/-

Educational Qualification and Experience:

Professor -> Ph.D. in appropriate discipline, with first class or equivalent at the stage of the preceding degree, and a very good and consistent academic record throughout. Minimum 10 years' teaching / research / industrial experience.

Associate Professor -> Ph.D. in appropriate discipline with first class or equivalent at the stage of the preceding degree, and a very good and consistent academic record throughout. Minimum 6 years' teaching/research / industrial experience, out of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor.

Assistant Professor -> Ph.D. in appropriate discipline with first class or equivalent at the stage of the preceding degree, and a very good and consistent academic record throughout. Minimum 3 years' teaching/ research/ industrial experience after completing Ph.D. (excluding the period of doing Ph.D.), as on the last date of application in each cycle.
