Famous Places in Kasauli :

* Baba Balak Nath Temple
The famous temple of Baba Balak Nath at Gadkhal. Gadkhal A place about 35 KM from Solan, near kasauli.It comes just 5 KM ahead of Kasauli, which is also a famous tourist spot, while driving from Solan.

* Gurudwara Shri Guru Nanak Ji
This historic Sikh Gurudwara is located in Gharkhal bazaar on the main road towards Kasauli, having also lodging facilities. Besides the daily prayers, a programme is held every Sunday morning. Another Sikh gurudwara is located on the other side of the Kasauli ridge on the Kasauli Mashobra (old Hindustan Tibet) Road near the Air Force Radar Station.

* Christ Church
Close to the bus stand, it was constructed by the British family that founded the town of Kasauli itself. It is a magnificent structure built in the shape of a cross. Set amidst a grove of chestnut and fir trees, it is a place of worship for around 30 families. Apart from them, many tourists also flock here. Earlier, the church was known as the Anglican Church. In 1970, it was brought under the aegis of the CNI (Church of North India) and is currently managed by the diocese of Amritsar.

* Monkey Point
This is the highest point in Kasauli, the place where Lord Hanuman is believed to have set his feet while on his way to look for the Sanjeevani buti(herb). Around 4 km from the Kasauli bus stand, at its top, is a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman that lies within the premises of the Air Force base. As such, there are a few restrictions: one is not allowed to carry bags or cameras inside. The hike upto the temple can be a bit difficulty for those who are not used to climbing, but it is worth the effort. The views from atop the hill are simply magnificent if the day is clear. You can watch the brilliant sparkle of the Sutlej river as it makes its way through the plains, and the pure beauty of the snow-capped peaks of the Dhauladhar Range. * Sunset Point
Sunset Point is situated about 1.5 km from the bus stand. The Sunset point offers a magnificent view of the nearby hill regions, and of plains Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali, Kalka, Pinjore, Parwanoo, Baddi and Nalagarh all are visible as an eagle eye view from this 270 degree view point. The Sunset point has a small cafeteria which serves freshly prepared items viz sandwiches, burgers, popcorns, corn on the cob, milk shakes, tea, coffee but doesn't promote cold drinks, chips or namkeens. The evening bar-be-cue is a must not miss if you are a non vegetarian; must try their smoked chicken.
