Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM) is dedicated to scientific research and science education of international standards.Established in 2008 by the Government of India, through the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), based on the recommendation of Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, IISER-TVM is an autonomous institution awarding five year integrated MS degree in addition to Ph.D degrees in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and inter-disciplinary areas. The emphasis will be to develop a spirit of research cutting across disciplines from the beginning itself. IISER-TVM is temporarily located in the Computer Science building of the College of Engineering, Trivandrum (CET).

JRF Plant Biology recruitment in Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram on contract basis.

Name of Project :"Functional Characterization of Genetic and Epigenetic Regulatory Networks Involved in the Reproductive Development of Rice"

Minimum Educational qualification: ( as prescribed by the funding agency) Master's degree preferably in plan biology or any area of Biological Sciences with minimum of 60% marks. Candidates qualified CSIT-UGC NET-JRF/LS or GATE (with a valid score) will be preferred.

Preference :Applicant having prior experience in molecular biology techniques including PCR, gene cloning, RNA isolation and cDNA synthesis, Cell biology techniques including plant biology in a reputed research institute or university.

Working experience in research projects involving Oryza Sativa (Rice) is desirable.

Fellowship amount :Rs. 25000

Age: 32 years
