Sankat Mochan Temple is located at a distance of about 11 km from the railway station of Varanasi. This temple is very simple in appearance but is an ideal temple to get peace of mind. The Sankat Mochan Temple was named by Goswami Tulsidas, the author of Shri Ramcharitmanas. Initially its form was small, but in the year 1900, Pandit Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya got this temple systematically constructed, since then till now devotees from all over the country and abroad keep coming here to pay their respects.
