Started in 1992, the M.S. Ramaiah College of Pharmacy is today one of the best Pharmacy institutions in the country. In terms of laboratory facilities and faculty, the college has been identified as "Model Institution" for quality and standards.

Pharmacists play a vital role in health care programs along with Medical, Dental and Nursing personnel and there is a great demand for trained pharmacists globally. There are plenty of job opportunities for the pharmacy graduates in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries (in their manufacturing, analytical, research and development and retailing departments) apart from the drug law enforcement directorates. The college offers a 2 year "D.Pharm" diploma course , 4 year " B.Pharm" degree course , 2 year "M.Pharm" post graduation course and also offers 6 year "PHARM D" course.. The courses are approved by the Government of Karnataka, the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and AICTE, New Delhi. The D.Pharm course is affiliated to Board of Examining Authority, Govt of Karnataka and the B.Pharm course to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.

The institution has 12 undergraduate, 8 diploma and 8 post graduate laboratories for the four departments namely Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry where the students are provided with the best facilities to work and learn. The college also has a well planned auditorium, conference room and seminar halls with excellent audio visual facilities.

Separate hostel facilities are also available for boys and girls.

The library subscribes to several national and international journals and a huge collection of text books. An unique e-library facility is available to the students for instant online access to the latest information through internet.

The "Machine Room" of the Pharmaceutics department and the "Analytical instrumentation laboratory" of the Pharmaceutical chemistry department simulate industrial environment and are applauded by all visiting dignitaries, The indoor and outdoor medicinal plant garden maintained by the Department of Pharmacognosy has more than 100 species of rare medicinal plants and they serve as ready reference for medicinal plant identification by the students and research scholars.

Besides academics, a lot of importance has been given to extra-curricular activities of the students for which several cultural and welfare committees are constituted involving the students and staff members. The institution takes special care in monitoring the performance and the progress of every student. The institution maintains constant interaction with parents / guardian regarding the performance of their wards at regular intervals. Campus interviews are regularly arranged and the graduates of this institution are well placed in India and abroad (in countries like Australia, the United States and Canada).

Al-Ameen Educational Society was established in 1966 in the city of Bangalore to provide educational facilities for minorities especially members of Muslim Community as there was no other learning centre for higher education for Muslims. Being the first of its kind in Karnataka its founder, Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan laid the foundation of a big enlarged movement called "Al-Ameen Movement" under whose patronage attention was focused on education, banking and health sectors for the benefit of down trodden sections especially members of the Muslim Community.

He was supported by bunch of dedicated & devoted workers whose sincere efforts have resulted in establishing around 20 branches of Al-Ameen Educational Society and 135 institutions throughout the State of Karnataka and India serving the cause of education to nearly 45 thousand students.

Mr. B. Premnath Reddy, a visionary with a passion for service founded the JMJ Education Society. Inspired by his father, Mr. B.M. Reddy s active involvement in the pharmaceutical services he established Acharya and B M Reddy College of Pharmacy during 1992, located at Soldevanahalli, Bangalore.
