Responsibilities
Perform thorough audits of the coding, charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting steps involved in medical billing.
Verify accuracy and compliance by going over patient charts, medical records, and billing paperwork.
Keep an eye on adherence to HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and other legal obligations.
Examine denial data to find patterns and the underlying reasons why claims are denied.
Provide billing employees with coding, billing, and compliance required training.
