Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Charge Entry Executive to join our medical billing team in Chennai. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering patient demographic, insurance, and medical coding information into our billing system to generate accurate claims for reimbursement. This role is critical for the initial stage of the billing process and requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding basics, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
When precisely entering patient information, procedures (CPT), diagnoses (ICD-10), and charges into the medical billing system, adhere to payer restrictions and coding standards specific to Chennai and Indian healthcare.
Examine encounter forms, patient records, and other documentation to ensure that charges are fully and accurately recorded while following local documentation requirements in Chennai.
While adhering to the data input rules established in our Chennai office, maintain a high degree of data accuracy and integrity in the billing system.
In order to address charge entry issues or provide clarification, effectively engage with the billing team and clinical specialists in Chennai using both Tamil and English when needed.
Observe all relevant billing laws, HIPAA regulations, and business policies in Chennai and India.
Skills:
