Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Head of Department (HOD) for our Moulding (Production) division in Chennai. You will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the moulding production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This leadership role requires a strong technical background in moulding processes, exceptional people management skills, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement and achieve production targets.

Responsibilities
Assure alignment with the overarching aims and objectives of the business by providing strategic leadership and direction for all plant operations.
Oversee and manage the production, maintenance, supply chain, quality control, and environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) aspects of plant operations.
Create and carry out operational plans and strategies to maximise productivity, cut expenses, raise quality, and improve plant performance as a whole.
Encourage efforts for continuous improvement (such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing) to reduce waste and streamline procedures.
Create and oversee the plant's budget, making sure that monetary goals are reached and resources are used efficiently.
Establish a productive and upbeat work culture by leading, coaching, and developing the plant leadership team as well as every employee.

Skills:
In-depth technical knowledge of various moulding processes (e.g., injection moulding, blow moulding, compression moulding - specify if particular processes are critical).
Strong understanding of tooling design, maintenance, and optimization.
Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

Educational Qualification: Any BE/ CIPETDegree
Experience: 8+ yrs
