Job Description
Focus: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payment Posting Executive to join our medical billing team in Chennai. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently posting payments received from patients and insurance companies into our billing system. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our revenue cycle.
Experience: 0 to 2 yrs

What you ll Do:
Accurately post payments from various sources (e.g., checks, Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs), credit card transactions) into the medical billing system.
Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs) to understand payment details, adjustments, and denial reasons.
Identify and resolve discrepancies between payments received and expected amounts based on EOB/ERA information.
Apply appropriate contractual adjustments, write-offs, and denials according to payer guidelines and internal policies.
Ensure accurate allocation of payments to the correct patient accounts and specific service lines.
Balance and reconcile daily payment batches and prepare accurate deposit summaries.

What you need:
Ability to analyze and interpret payment information and identify discrepancies.
Good communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and preferably Tamil.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
