Your Impact:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced VMC Setter to join our precision machining team in Chennai. The VMC Setter will be responsible for the accurate setup and preparation of Vertical Machining Centers to produce high-quality components according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machine operations, tooling specific to VMCs, and precise measurement techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform precise setup of VMC machines according to job specifications, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Select, install, and align appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding devices specific to VMC operations.
Load and edit CNC programs, making necessary adjustments for optimal machining.
Conduct thorough first-article inspections and ensure parts meet stringent quality standards.
Monitor machine operations during production runs and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy.

What you Need:
Strong knowledge of VMC machine operations and setup procedures relevant to common controls used in Chennai (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain).
Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T.
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators) commonly used in Chennai workshops.
Comprehensive knowledge of VMC tooling selection, application, and maintenance.

Educational Qualification: Any Diploma Graduation
Experience: 1 to 3 yrs
