Kadambavanam Ethnic Resort & Cultural Center is a concept Tourism Project showcasing the rich Cultural Heritage of Tamil Nadu, located at MADURAI - the Athens of the East. It provides an unique opportunity to a discerning tourist to experience Tamil living traditions.

At Kadambavanam Ethnic Resort one can enjoy staying in quaint, rustic huts with nature forming the perfect backdrop. Hill trekking, village visits, nature walks, yoga and meditation and kollam drawing sessions early in the morning, ethnic cookery demos are offered. Every cottage is named after a Tamil scholar and we regale you with stories about our rich history and mythology.

Guests are encouraged to explore the popular tourist places of historic/ cultural significance like the Pandavar padugai at Kidaripatti, the Karuppasamy temple at Vallalapatti, the Jain caves at Nagamalai etc.

Adisil the speciality multi cuisine restaurant offers a wide spectrum of Tamil culinary delights , both vegetarian and non vegetarian.

Thadagam , our 6500 ft hill view swimming pool is one of the largest in TamilNadu.

The Kadambavanam Cultural Center is a twin campus that offers infotainment for all ages with activities depicting Tamil culture as in classical arts, folk dances, martial arts, handicrafts, village games, regional food specialties and temple poojas as detailed in our website

The highlight is an hour s showcase of well compered Tamil classical music & Bharathanatyam recital ,folk dances & martial arts performed at the 500 seater auditorium, followed by Thorpavai koothu an ancient form of leather puppetry at the charming puppetry theater . A crafts bazaar where one can shop for curios, Astrology and photo ops are given as fun activities.

The evening winds up with an ethnic vegetarian dinner - A Set menu of typical Tamilian fare ( many of which cannot be had at regular restaurants) prepared the traditional way and served with warmth and care on banana leaves. Dishes made from local millets such as varagu, thinai, saamai , homemade preparations such as Urad dal rice and herbal drinks have been receiving rave reviews from the guests.

Kadambavanam is a center for TamilNadu, where one can experience the Tamil way of life as explored through the tradition and culture, arts and crafts, language and literature, dances and music, spiritual practices and beliefs and culinary delights of this region.
