Focus: With a focus on the Chennai and South India supply chain ecosystem, highlight the key competencies of strategic sourcing, vendor management, cost optimisation, and team leadership in the buy department of an injection moulding company.
Experience: 10 to 12 yrs

What you ll Do:
Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for all raw materials, tooling, consumables, and indirect materials required for our injection moulding operations in Chennai, considering local market dynamics and supplier capabilities.
Oversee the entire purchasing process, from purchase requisition to order placement, follow-up, and invoice reconciliation, ensuring efficiency and accuracy within our Chennai facility.
Establish and maintain robust vendor performance management systems, monitoring supplier quality, delivery reliability, and adherence to contractual obligations, with a focus on local supplier performance in Chennai.
Lead the implementation and utilization of ERP/MRP systems for efficient purchase order management and inventory control of polymers and critical spares within our Chennai facility.
Mentor and develop the skills and capabilities of the purchase department team in Chennai, fostering professional growth and specialized knowledge in injection moulding procurement.

What you need:
Experience in leading and managing a team of purchasing professionals, fostering collaboration and achieving departmental goals in Chennai, with expertise in injection moulding procurement.
Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and other procurement software commonly used in manufacturing in Chennai, with an understanding of their application to injection moulding specific needs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate supplier proposals, analyze market data and resolve procurement challenges specific to the Chennai injection moulding environment.
